MEET THE TEAM 

Janet McGroggan 
Principal Podiatrist 
 
Clinic owner and Principal Podiatrist, Janet is passionate about podiatry and its promotion. Janet has over 17 years’ experience diagnosing and treating feet and lower limb complaints. 
 
She has a Master’s Degree specialising in children’s podiatry and has written several articles about junior gait analysis. She has spoken at various conferences including the Annual Conference for the College of Podiatry. Janet has two children and a dog. In her spare time, she loves yoga, crafting and hiking. 
Julie Ann Macfarlane 
Practice Manager & Podiatry Assistant 
 
Julie Ann trained and qualified as a Podiatry Assistant with the College of Podiatry working within the NHS podiatry service. Over her 12 years with the NHS she gained lots of experience and knowledge within her scope of practice as a footcare practitioner. 
 
She brought her skills to Stride Clinic during the pandemic and in 2022 became Practice Manager. 
 
Julie Ann can provide nail care, removal of light callus and foot health promotion to clients who are unable to manage the care of their own feet for a variety of reasons. 
 
Julie Ann has lived in the Sandbach area all her life. She enjoys family time, walking her two dogs and looking after her health and well-being, yoga/pilates, reading and meditation, to relax and unwind. 
Eleanor Saunders 
Podiatrist 
 
Eleanor graduated from Salford University in 2017 with a BSc(Hons) in Podiatry. She developed an interest in Podiatry after having her own feet treated by a podiatrist and realised how great it was to be able to relieve pain for people. 
 
She worked as a carer whilst studying, taking care of the elderly in their own homes and often used the dementia training gained from her Podiatry degree. 
 
Since graduating she has worked in private practice. 
 
Eleanor has three children but still manages to find a little time for swimming, walking in the countryside and going to the cinema. 
Mary McCrae 
Podiatrist 
 
Mary knew that she always wanted to help and care for people. Growing up in and working for her parent's dental practice provided Mary with understanding patients from a young age. 
 
She began her journey into Podiatry in 2020 following the tragic start of Covid 19 at the University of Salford, where she thrived in a holistic manner with patient centered approach to gain trust and optimal medical outcomes for patients. 
 
Mary has a wide understanding and knowledge of dermatological, diabetic, vascular, neurological and biomechanical assessments, treatments and management. 
 
Since graduating with an MSc in Podaitric Science she has worked in both private and NHS practice. 
 
Mary enjoys life in the countryside with her partner and two dogs and often visits Scotland for holidays with them. 
Lauren Pringle 
Podiatrist 
 
Lauren graduated from the University of Salford in 2023 with an MSc in Podiatry. 
 
Alongside her work at Stride, she works part-time in the NHS as a Band 5 Podiatrist and is also completing an MSc in the Theory of Podiatric Surgery at the University of Huddersfield. 
 
Lauren is extremely passionate about the podiatry profession and has particular interests in biomechanics and rheumatology.  
 
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys travelling, hiking and skiing. 
Siân Steel 
Osteopath 
 
Siân Steel M.Ost, DO is a registered osteopath, graduating from the European School of Osteopathy with an integrated Masters degree. 
 
Her passion to help people get better and find health was the driving factor throughout her degree. Siân has gone on to expand her knowledge of osteopathy in women’s health and is currently undertaking a two year post-graduate diploma in women’s health osteopathy with the Molinari Institute of Health in London. 
 
Siân enjoys spending time with her family and likes to get out and about with her cocker spaniel, as well as exercising in the gym as well as taking part in Irish dancing.

When she's not our receptionist, Kathryn loves to run. 
 
Being a mum keeps her busy, and she regularly practices yoga to relax. 
Suzie McGroggan 
Clinical Assistant 
 
Graduating from Salford University in 2021, Suzie achieved a First Class Degree in Criminology and Sociology. 
 
In the future Suzie hopes to work with young offenders and the prison system and expanded her knowledge in lockdown completing diploma courses. 
 
Outside of work Suzie enjoys socialising, spending time with family and walking her dog. She also enjoys reading and yoga. 
Lisa McGroggan

Lisa is a full time student at Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College completing her A' Levels. 
 
Lisa loves spending time with her family, but mostly loves her dog Dexter.
