MOBILITY ISSUES

Impared Mobility

There are many reasons why a person’s mobility can become a problem and there is a vicious circle of impaired mobility – causing fear – causing falls – decreasing mobility.

Issues that might cause mobility issues include:
Aging
Pain
Neurological Conditions e.g., Parkinson’s Disease, Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, Multiple Sclerosis
Inflammatory Conditions e.g., Rheumatoid Arthritis
Joint deterioration e.g., Osteoarthritis
Developmental Conditions e.g., Cerebral Palsy
History of fracture
Limb loss

Podiatrists are trained to work with other health professionals to help patients with mobility issues whatever the cause. At Stride Clinic we focus on treating pathological gait to restore confidence, relieve pain and provide support as well as monitoring the feet and lower limbs of patients with conditions that affect their feet to prevent problems such as ulceration. If you haven’t been to us before you will need an Initial Consultation [click here to book] where we will discuss the treatment option, most suitable for you and your needs.
